Happy Velentine's Day?

To save you all the enormous effort of writing me e-mail and so on I thought I'd put up an LJ post for people to comment on. Others have done it already so its not a novel idea but I did think of it all on my own. :)

I'm not going to bother screening comments or any of that kind of thing. Feel free to post anonymously though if you want. Just tell me you love me and make me a happy man... :)

Digital Cameras

Well, I've said I'd buuy one for a long time and recently I've been really yearning for one. So I am looking at amazon. 170 quid for the nice pocketsized Olympus Mju 410. My main requirement is something small that can fit in a pocket. I am not a great photographer and all I want is something that will be portable and allow me to photograph my friends when they least suspect it.

So yeah, the Olympus Mju 410 is nice and pocketsized. 4ish Megapixels which is a decent enough quality. It does some movie stuff which I guess is a bonus. I'll be buying an extra 512Meg card for it so that I ahve room for pictures.

Anybody care to suggest a reason that I might not want to buy this or suggest something else that is better for comparable price?

Oh, and I get a free carry case things from amazon if i buy it from there. Bonus.

So, help me shop people! Help me overcome the procrastination phase!

For some of them you will probably need to be able to play around with images. The ones after the images are also much easier. They have codes, maths and general knowledge. I guess some of the maths ones might be tricky if you're not as good at maths as I am. :) It is jolly good fun though. Oh, look at the time. I should do some work... :)

New Tech!

Well, I bought the Olympus Mju 410 thing. I got a 256Meg memory card, inspired by comments from onebyone. He suggested two 256Meg instead and after some thought I decided this was a reasonable idea. I then looked at how much I could fit on one 256Meg card and decided there was no real need to two of them. So I've bought one on the assumption that I can get another later.

And all this should arrive on wednesday to work. Yay! Poing!

And I'm impressed at the number of comments I got today. I rarely get that many on a post and today I got lots on *two* posts. Must be the highest commenting day of my LJ career! :)

Edit: I meant to mention actually that I've been contemplating buying a digital camera for three or four years now. Maybe even more. So that's almost as long as I've been considering a holiday to america. I suspect other destinations may be first though. :)

I just watched the trailer of this and I think Keanu looks pretty cool in it. I'm quite looking forward to it coming out. Anybody want to go see it with me?
