I saw this on somebody's LJ and thought it was quite interesting. I've stripped off the matter of fact questions (like how long I've been roleplaying) and instead left the ones that give me a nice trip down memory lane. Its really just an exercise in nostalgia so is probably of more interest to RPGSoc people who may remember some of these people.

Friday night was kinda cool. David and Stephen came round and we had some drinks, watched some TV and played illuminati. It really didn't feel like a three and a bit hour game but it was good fun and ended up with David winning. I was in a good position but should have been happy to spend more money to screw people over more. We finished up and people went home at something like 1-2ish.

Saturday daytime I did not a lot really. TFM's cousin from new zealand arrived in the morning while I was still in bed. Nice girl. TFM, Angharad and Giselle (close enough spelling, I'm sure) wandered around town while I caught up on a few things and did some very little work. Played on some final fantasy again for the first time in a while. I missed it a bit and need to play some more. In the evening people were heading out for food but I decided that I really shouldn't go due to money things. So I said no (without giving the reason cos I didn't want to give people guilt) and TFM came back a few minutes later and said that if I did want to go he would buy me dinner.

So, being an official charity case I went out for food with people. We had a nice italian meal which was good (one of those fun ones where people were swapping bits of starter to taste other people's) and a couple of bottles of wine. Then we went to the pub for a bit and chatted with a few more drinks and then headed home. We sat and chatted til silly hours in the morning while drinking cocktails and eventually I ended up crashing out at about 5AM (BST). It was another very nice night and it was pretty great.

Sunday was, strangely enough, a very late start. Watched some tele (silly tivo hadn't recorded yu-gi so I need to wait until next weekend for it) and later we had a barbeque. Kind of early in the year for it but it was quite nice. Got quite chilly as the evening went on but meat was charred and fun and good company was had.

The weekend basically gave me three very good evenings out and reminded me how nice it is to have good friends. I still feel a little bad about being bought dinner but as I was told, I was happy to buy people things and whatever when I had money so they are just returning the favour. Makes me feel a bit better but it does mean I need to turn this around and get enough money to splash out on them again before it gets too one sided. :)

Tonight hopefully David is coming round to catch up on old Alias and watch the new one. That should be pretty cool since I don't see enough of David. I dare say he should be giving me a bell pretty soon to let me know if he is coming or not. Failing that I dare say I might wander round to sunnydale to see people. We'll see what the future brings...
