still breathing
Jan. 14th, 2002 01:07 pmJust a regular reminder that I am still alive and kicking and stuff.
Been busy as always. Work is still not too bad but I still have this awful feeling like somebody is about to find out I've not done my homework or something. I'm not sure what exactly I am worried about, I just have this feeling in the back of my head that somebody is going to come up to me and say "so have you done this yet?" and I'm not going to have started it or even been aware I was meant to do it. I don't consciously think I have anything to worry about but my sub-conscious is assuring me I should be really worried so I am trying to get the bits of my mind to resolve the dispute amicably.
Weekend was not too bad. Saturday involved a big cleanup of the house. Tidying up the whole of downstairs, hoovering everything, cleaning things, lots of recylcing and so on. This ended up spilling over into Sunday since the nice recycling type dump type place was shut by the time we got around to going on saturday so we took stuff up on sunday. Now I need to find time to clean my car which has tree remains all over the boot and some sawdust that the tree remains picked up off the garage floor.
I borrowed more buffy and angel videos on sunday too (First half of Buffy Season 5 and First half of angel season 2). I've watched a few of them already and I really like them both so far. The buffy have been better overall so far but I am assured (even despite me saying "no, shut up, you've told me this before") that angel is the better over all for those two seasons. Time will tell.
I'm actually trying to blitz through these videos at light speed since Buffy season 6 has now started on sky one and I would really like to be able to watch it but I want to watch season 5 first. I currently have 39 episodes of buffy and angel to watch (38 really I suppose) until I have finished season 5. Only about 27 hours...
Can't remember what I did on friday night. I think I played around on the computer. Probably playing Project IGI (Arrghhh!! the last level is so nearly done) or Planescape: torment (a very cool game that I am slightly directionless on atm but a bit of dungeonhacking is always available). Saturday evening I played on the computer a bit more and then went downstairs to be sociable with TFM, Angharad and some of Angharads friends (Sarah, Emma and Lowri (though that last one might not be spelt right)). It was quite fun and we played some silly games.
I then offered to drive them home (being a sucker at that as most people know). My car not easily being available (all the stuff due for the tip being in it with the back seats down) I ended up driving angharads car (I'm insured on it through my own insurance). I'd forgotten how different it is driving a little old car. It went quite boringly really. But it was quite fun driving a different car for a change. I don't think I scared my passengers much though I did decide to avoid the "Damn, where's the brake peddle gone" gag. :)
that is my weekend really. I was hoping to get time to go back to parents to clean more stuff out but with the cleaning of the house in the middle of the weekend that I couldn't get out of (since it was my idea) it didn't happen. I'll probably go back next weekend. Drive down after work on friday and sort stuff out friday night. Back to oxford and unpack saturday morning. Back to london with krystyna to go to see the Reduced Shakespeare Company on saturday evening and then back to oxford for Refraction (local sabbat game) and to talk to Michael about Cam stuff. Busy weekend? Far too much so.
And what does the week hold for me? I'm not sure really. If I remember correctly a new series on sky one tonight after the new Star Trek (which I might watch purely so I don't judge it as laughably crap star trek based on one episode). Stargate on Wednesday (stargate rules just in case anybody wasn't aware). I could do OURPGSoc stuff on tuesday and thursday but I am thinking I might just go be sociable with people on the thursday and skip tuesday. Much as I like to as you can see I don't have much time. And I need to fit more buffy and angel in somewhere. :)
Anyway, that was longer than intended so I'll leave it there. Probably another update near the end of the week.
