A day at the BBC

I'm on the oxford tube heading down to london. The tube is probably in general the slowest way to get to london. However, car was ruled out a) because I wasn't sure if I could park at the BBC and b) because I didn't want to drive home in rush hour. Out of train and bus, the train goes to paddington and then would be faffing with underground etc. The coach stops half a mile from BBC TV Centre.
So, I've been up for nearly two hours already and am showered, shaved, shampooed, and all the other things that I needed to do. I reckon that I will be very early to london but other people advised that an 8:30 bus (which I decided would get me in with time to spare) would be a bit late and cutting it fine so rather than gamble on me being right I decided to go earlier. I can always say "I told you so" if needs be.
Anyway, time to play games on the laptop on the bus. :)

I'm on the oxford tube on the way home. Yup. That's it, my day is over. I got to london in plenty of time (coach arrived at 9:45) and the guy I was meeting turned up at just gone 10:30 after I'd been watching tele in BBC TVC reception. He introduced me to his colleague and they explained what was needed, most of which I already knew. We then had an 11 o'clock appointment with somebody else in the next building which we headed off too. Here we talked more about the logistics and basically established a) I'd need a login for the system. b) there was a computer ready and set up for me c) I could call on the people closeby for help d) I had to be in at 10 on thursday when my login would be ready. Oh, and the guy we were talking to estimated that it would probably be about 2 days work for me which should mean thursday and friday.
On the plus side though I get to bill half a day for this which is nice.
