Friday - Electric Ballroom

Hi all,

Not much of an entry, more of an advert or something. I've decided that the ballroom on friday is probably a good plan, partly to meet up with some people I've not seen in ages. Anyway, I always think the more the merrier so anybody else likely to be there or persuadable to be there? I think everybody I know should be there so flash it around on your LJs so that people who don't read mine can be tempted to come along too. You know you want to. you know it makes sense... :)

I believe Krys and myself have already been persuaded to go to Taijutsu and sauna afterwards.

No, you don't want to do the Ballroom, its stupidly expensive and the music is terrible these days. Plenty more fun places to go in London.

Don't know London enough to recommend anything else, though.

Hmm, Friday nights are bit bare in London, but even so SOMEONE must know SOMEWHERE better than the Electric Ballroom.
On the last Friday of the month there is of course Tenebrae at Gossips. The music there is fast going downhill too, but its better than the Ballroom and cheaper too (entry and drinks).
Not sure what happens at Gossips on other Fridays though.

Come to intrusion in oxford on tuesday (ie next week). I think the music is good but I'm not a big music person so I'm not sure. Dave comes from cambridge every month for it though so it must be quite good. Go on, you know you want to turn up to work the next day feeling totally trashed. It makes sense. :)

Hmm, not really enough notice.
Unlike davefish I have the kind of job where I HAVE to be at 9am everyday (as far as i can tell he frequently heads in 11ish and then works later to make up for it).
I DO have a few days holiday allowance I need to use up, and have been tempted by various goth nights (Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton) but need a weeks notice in order to take days or half-days off.

You could try and ask nicely tomorrow... Its *nearly* a week notice... :)

Or the alternative is the very good coach service from oxford to london which runs throughout the night and could potentially get you home on the tuesday evening. You'd be knackered at work but you could be there for 9:00 if needs be. Intrusion only finishes at 1 so you could probably be home by 3 or 4. Or just crash in oxford and be up at 6. :)

I think not this time - maybe next time.
I actually doubt Davefish will be there for the next one as he has just spent 3 weeks away from Cambridge and was limping when I last saw him (Sunday) due to walking too much.
