Fun Cam game

chrisvenusYesterday's cam game was fun. For various reasons I missed the last two oxford games so it was my first local game for a while. It was quite fun. Had some of them more extremist lupus garou turning up which was fun if you like worrying about whether they are going to cause a lot of trouble. As Garou ambassador in oxford it is now my responsibility to try to make sure we remain cool with the mages and vice verca.
The appearance of a newly awakened mage asking "What are all these dogs doing here" was a minor cause for alarm but quickly averted. A cause of much annoyance later when having already sorted the situation (ie making sure he didn't do it again and so on) I had two other garou come up and say "You should make sure he doesn't call us dogs any more". Grrr... need to have words and say "Whose job is this? Thank you."
This new kid turned out to have some kind of link with the nasty thing that had been killing women and so on. I'd been following up on this some before but with missing two games others had got involved and I ended up working with them to sort the problem in the end. Scratch one nasty wyrm baney thing. And miraculously my character happily going into a fight in Crinos form. I blame Leonie. She was a good influence on me. :) You show me some poor bugger in distress and next thing you know I am trying to do what I can to save her. :) That and this thing had killed one of my friends and caused another of my friends (her boyfriend) to be incredibly distressed.
After that I returned to the main game and found all the garou had left to do other stuff. A bit of OOC aimlessness happened for five minutes before I got back in character and did something that my character should try to do much more of. Talked to people. He sat down and chatted to a couple of mages for a bit and tried to help them not be depressed. He doesn't always have the best idea of how to deal with that though so sat there for the most part thinking "umm.." and being not very helpful.
I then wandered off to talk to one of the new mages and get to know her and make sure she was doing alright. She seemed a little worried by all the goings on and the way some of us were so casually accepting death and destruction. We chatted and I gave her my superhero theory as well as some spiderman quotes ("With great power comes great responsibility") and tried to persuade her that she could make a difference and help and stuff. No idea how it affected her but I don't think it did any harm. Plus I now have a contact in phorensics. Go me. :)
Hopefully next time I will play my mage character. That should be fun. He's moving down to oxford so I want to have a proper first meeting, talk to all the oxford people and make some plans for if I move down there to live...
Anyway, that was the cam game. Thank you very much to Michael for running the long scene for the three of us and thank you also for changing the plot (which I helped run originally) to make it sufficiently different and interesting that my knowledge didn't spoil it at all. :)
