Spent half an hour over lunch sketching up the plot for my dragon blooded game. I am bouncing lots at the thought of running this (though slightly worried because I have never run anything as politically as this might be). I do also have one other concern with my plot. There might be too much of it. :)

I started off with a simple premise (which I won't name because players are reading this). I then built up a few of the key players in this plot (I have rough idea of what the PCs are whcih is socialisers so I need lots of NPCs probbaly). I then came up with a bit more of the setting. This then gave rise to some other interesting plots. And now I am worried it might explode out of control. :) It is only meant to be a one off test run... :)

My main concern really now is fleshing out all the NPCs. I am planning to start it at a party which will probably have at least 50 or so people at it, possibly more. I'm thinking that they will talk to a fair few of these so I need some idea of who is there. I don't need to stat them but I probably need at least Name, House, One sentence description (or more). And I hate names. :)

Oh well, it should be glorious at least. :)

Anyway, back to work now. Troubleshooting to do which is more interesting than documentation. :)

Cool !

Y'know - maybe instead of taking an unpaid job with Cam you should run a big Dragon Blooded game ?

It's the same thing which I regret about the RPGSoc society game - we created something good, but in the process lost much more. Why ? Because people focussed on the soc-game instead of doing their own radical creative thang.

It's a good answer, though.

Even if there's some irony involved that when there's people who I think shouldn't be attempting big games they always seem to, somehow.

I'm sure the game will be great.
Plus I think you will find that it will depend on how we react, working out name and descriptions for 50 guys is a tall order, what if we only speak to 3?

It's your call, your game, everyone has different styles.

Dragon Blooded... *drools*

Mmmmm.

As for names, try this:

1) pick a nice flowery name for a colour
2) pick an interesting animal's name
3) pick a precious stone of your choice
4) choose a feature of physical or political geography
5) choose a number between 1-10 or factors of 10
6) choose the name of an interesting and appropriate-sounding plant

Pick and mix any 2/3/3 of the above. For example, Thousand Orchid Storm would work nicely for a Wind aspected combat munchie and Onyx Tiger for an Earth aspected social prowler...

OK... <sound of scribbling>

I get Pink Wombat Daffodil. Hmm... sounds like a hideously powerful combat machine to me.
