This is likely to horrify some of my friends list but many people are aware of some of what my music collection contains...

I've started to quite like Lily Allen. In particular this came about because of her most recent song with Mark Ronson, a cover of Kaiser Chief's "Oh my god". If you want to hear the song you can find it on youtube with a quick obvious search.

Please don't hold this against me. Hold my Britney CD or my S Club 7 against me if you're going to hold anything against me. :)

Edit: I just found this that made me thing "How weird". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJsZhiOhUVg - Its Lily Allen's "Smile" in sim world. So that's sim animation and Simlish as the language of the song. Its pretty cool. I am wondering if they actually got Lily Allen to sing in Simlish. :)

I have no complaints about the Britney or SClub. Hell, I've got a Britney cd myself. But Lily Allen? I'm afraid I'm going to have to disown you.

Tbh i'm not really into girls who have two children and pop in and out of rehab between shaving their head and getting drunk. So I do understand.

Lilly Allan's album is very good, it has great pop songs with witty and intelligent lyrics that show the great parts of the 'chav' culture and its urban roots back in SKA.

I love Lily Allen and am not ashamed to say so. My brother has the album so it reminds me a lot of my trip to croatia. Not heard that track though and there are no speakers on this comp. :(

To be fair I'd looked at some of the wikipedia pages on lily allen and didn't see mention of her having recorded a simlish version. I didn't think to look from the other way around. I am actually quite glad you looked it up though. It must be quite hard to sing a song you are familiar with in a nonsense langauge.

Lily Allen is annoyingly likeable, I put her along the same lines as Christina Aguilera. Not gonna comment on the S-Club 7 though.

Weirdly, although i'd seen the Simlish video before, I've never heard it in the game, dunno which expansion pack it's with. I'll have to check through the music folders :(

I'm sure the video looked something like a trailer for "Seasons" or something like that. Might not be in game and just in advertising, I dunno.

Chris is right. According to Wikipedia

In the Seasons expansion pack, The Veronicas have re-recorded their single, When It All Falls Apart, and Lily Allen also re-recorded her song, Smile, in Simlish.

In fact the Simlish entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simlish) has a breakdown of all the songs by real bands in the various expansions, as well as a few songs which are apparently in Simlish and not even in the game!

And I think about half of Britney Spears' singles are classics of pop (the other half being lachrymose dirges) so no criticism from me on that front! I don't think Christina Aguilera is as good, though she does have some good songs. And I won't comment on S-Club 7 either... :P

As to Lily Allen, embarrassingly enough I haven't heard her songs or even heard about her enough, to have any opinion about her at all.
