Its occured to me that I have barely updated about myself this year at all. So here's what has been going on for me...

January was the month of medical badness. It feels like I only worked half the month. I've been in for doctor's appointment for depression as before but also finally getting my ingrowing toenail sorted. My toe is now healing nicely but there were some unusual complications.

My toe is perfectly fine, however, after the local anaesthetic I passed out. I put it down to a delayed reaction on my needle/injection wussiness. Anyway, when I passed out I tensed up all over, again probably the general tension. Unconscious and solidly tensed up for 30 seconds though is not good. The after effects were just that I was very very tense. And unable to relax properly. I took the next couple of days off work because I was in quite a lot of pain over this. I got myself a massage which eased things enough to go back to work. I managed a week but it was still bad and over the next weekend got worse so I spent most of the next week off work as well.

At this point of course I went to see a doctor, worried that this had been going on some time. I'm aware of the potential for long term injury in backs and such like. She advised me that it was just muscular and that I should probably go see a physio. I have and now have exercises that make it better. I still have some tightness in my chest but am mostly good now. Its just bad that I've had problems sitting at a desk for long periods of time for over a month. Fortunately I have a lovely work who are very understanding. :)

January was also a birthday which passed much as it usually does. A quiet day with some presents and things. The masquerade ball was also in january and was an excellent evening as before. Nice people there and although I forgot to get birthday hugs and kisses for the most part I did get some excellent ones. :)

Into February the main event so far has been a wonderful week away that is called KCon2. Organised by [livejournal.com profile] lathany and [livejournal.com profile] chrestomancy it was 14 people on a week's holiday centered around roleplaying. The part split across three cottages and I was in the one of 6 which included [livejournal.com profile] lathany, [livejournal.com profile] bateleur, [livejournal.com profile] quisalan, [livejournal.com profile] floralaetifica and [livejournal.com profile] ao_lai. I can't be bothered to name check the other people in the other cottages since most will either not know them or read all about it on their journal when it comes.

[livejournal.com profile] lathany ran the game I was in - a four session campaign which was absolutely awesome. She is intending to run it again so I'm not going to say any more. I'm also tempted to get the game notes off her and run it myself for some of the current RPGSoc types since none of them know [livejournal.com profile] lathany and thus won't ever be likely to be run it by her. :) I think we probably wracked up a grand total of 20-24 hours game time (12-6ish for four days). Things I will say about the game that are in jokes and thus meaningless apart from for the confusion aspect. The game is the game of midlife crises, it has midgets in futiristic dustbins and most importantly it has STICKERS!

And I think that brings us mostly up to date really. There is probably loads I've missed but that's at least covering some of what I've had to cover.

I'd no idea how popular they'd be. I'm not sure [livejournal.com profile] chrestomancy has forgiven me yet, either.
