Amecon in brief - day 3

I'm writing these entries so that I don't forget what happened while I faff about writing it up. Today hwoever has been such a long day (in a good way) that I am struggling to remember how it started...
I think that it started with a quick trip to ops and then another fried breakfast (nothing like it first thing in the morning). Then after some light gophering I spent a fair while being an average con-goer. I watched some anime including one I quite liked called My Hime. It seems to be about a bunch of girls with supernatural powers who do cool stuff and kick ass lots. Kind of reminds me of exalted a bit. I really liked it and am tempted to buy some of it. Only one disc has been released so far though so I don't think I'll bother right now...
Also today was the Omake (I think that's the word). This is basically a bunch of sketches or whatever else done by cosplayers. They range from the karaoke style shows to the comedy routines (in one case almost pantomime-esque complete with throwing sweets into the crowd. They were all awesomely funny. I did some light gophering with this.
Then there was some loitering (and finally getting my "gopher mama" badge - I'll expain that in the more detailed post unless people desperately want to know now...) and then heading back to my room to get changed and ready for the evening.
I spent the first part of the evening nipping between the gopher party and the cosplay ball. I'd taken my dinner suit with me to wear so was all dressed up to go. I'd forgotten my mask but halfway through the evening I went and got it and received many compliments for it. The ball was rumoured to consist of formal dancing but fortunately this wasn't the case and towards the end actually ended up turning into a reprise of Will's friday night AMV disco. It was wicked fun. There was a stage when every song was getting an enthusiastic oh-my-god-this-is-awesome cheer.
Hopefully "I love rock and roll" isn't stuck in my head again this time.
Oh, and I have somewher ein the order of 170 photos taken on the digicam. Some I know to be crap (as in blurred) and some I know to be crap (back of somebody's head, etc.) but I should upload them all somewhere soon. That will of course be once I get home where the cable is and once I've caught up on slepe. I've got to be out of here at 10.
Anyway, an awesome day and an awesome con. I reallt need sleep now since I'm nearly falling asleep while I type.
Tomorrow is travel and sleep and sleep. AFter that I'm back to work and all that [there was a 10 minute fall asleep without hitting post there...l
Oh, and also amusingly there is a girl who may or may not have my KLJ username written on her breats.

Stabbing people in the chest with a bic not being a good way to make friends. Stupidly forgetting the persons username not being very clever either...
As I say, hopefully she'll find me though. :)
