So if I were to attempt to do some moving of house tomorrow (ie saturday) who would feel willing to help? This is partly subject to getting a van but I suspect that shouldn't be too hard. I'm aching a bit form the Gym this morning but figure I should be fine to carry stuff around tommorrow.

My vague plan is to make sure I can rustle up some helpers (ie some of you lot) and then book the van and then confirm with people.

I suspect I will probably plan to start after lunch sort of time tomorrow (I'll want some time to try to make sure everything is in a good state to just load up and go). It should be relatively easy work for the most part you'll be pleased to know. There are only a couple of big bulky items (a large bookcase, double mattress (other bits of the bed are much more manageable since it all comes apart) a chest of drawers and a big cardboard box full of stuff.

So if you are up for helping leave a comment here (possibly pointing me at contact details in case I need to phone to confirm things rather than just posting to LJ before I leave work).

Umm... This is kind of exiting. I might be spending my first night in my new house soon. :)

Edit: Just to be clear I'm expecting most people to have other stuff to do or just to feel they are not particularly enthused by the idea of moving house for somebody, etc. Please don't feel you need to apologise for not helping out. I've got all the time in the world to do this pretty much and can in theory cope with help from only one person. It is nice to have "sorry I can't make it" so I'm not going to complain if you do post that but I want to make sure nobody is worrying about not being able to help or leaving me in the lurch or anything. :) (Yeah, I'm probably worryign too much)

I've been to the gym this week. Twice now in fact. I decided last week that I should get some exercise. Well, actually I decided about two years ago I should get some exercise. Last week though I made definite plans. [livejournal.com profile] oxfordgirl said that she thought gym sounded like a good plan so the pair of us went along on wednesday. And then I went along again this morning (would you believe I was up at 7 this morning? It was horrible!). I feel good and virtuous. I am quite chuffed that I can run for over 15 minutes on the running machine thingy. I ran 2km and it told me that my average speed was 7.5km/h (up from 7 last time but that is largely because I ramped it up very slowly on wednesday). I've also done various things with weights attached (I'm sure there is a technical name for those machine as opposed to things like running and cycling things but I've no idea what it is).

I started feeling a bit achey over the course of yesterday but didn't feel too bad this morning. Today my arms ache a lot, I suspect from overdoing the lifting weights with arms things (obviously). I can't remember what I did with my arms that uses these muscles which hurt. I couldn't even tell you the name of the muscles that hurt though it might be the biceps. Its in that vicinity anyway. The machines do tell you which muscles they use which is quite exciting in a way. I'm sure I'll know all about it before too long.

So yeah, this is my start of hopefully regular exercise to make up for the fact I never get any otherwise. I don't know when I'll be going next or what kind of "regular schedule" I'll be keeping. I might mix up before and after work but at this stage I've not even thought about how many times a week I'll be going. I figure that first thing is just to actually get myself going and worry about the rest later.

Right. I've just booked a van for tomorrow in which I can move my stuff. This is now very exciting. This means that I can in theory sleep in my new place from tomorrow (though without curtains that could be interesting but I'm sure I can work out something). The nice thing is there will still be a bed at my old place that I can use if I choose. I'm also probably not going to move my TV and stuff until I have sky set up at my new place so will be at least half living at Rose Hill for a while.

If anybody wants to help me move though then I'll probably be kicking off much closer to noon. Give me a call if you want to help (I have two lovely friends to help already) and I'll let you know more detailed plan.

Wheee!!!
