(no subject)

http://www.stargatelrp.com/ has just reminded me with its javascript counter that the next stargate larp is in 16 days, 6 hours, etc. And I've not actually booked up yet. Well, that is easy to do but I thought I'd post this since I know others have said they thought it sounded interesting so I thought I'd give a chance for people to put their money where their mouth was. So anybody who is interested should immediately do useful things like bounce at me and be enthusiastic and book up and stuff. I know that a few people have made interested noises, most recent being elethiomel who will need to get permission from ebq [1] and souldestruction. Though I think many others have made interested noises in the past (including innokenti (probably in russia), chains_of_irony (not on LJ at the moment possibly) and I think possibly chaosdeathfish (who has a busy hectic life and probably needs more weekends to relax).

My current plan for going seems to be spending the previous week in cornwall with friends and then leaving there on the friday to head to the site in wales. So anybody going to cornwall with me and interested can get a lift to the game and back to oxford afterwards... ;-)

So yeah. Whose up for it?

[1] Normally I'd mock but this is the weekend after their wedding so really I'm not even expecting steve to ask and just decide to spend his first weekend with his wife - though of course there's no reason she shouldn't come...

paradox: set phasers to pun

Having seen Matrix: the pantomime a few weeks back on its preview before it went up to do the edinburgh festival I've been thinking about the show they sent up to edinburgh last year. evath told me a lot at the time about "paradox: set phasers to pun" - not least of all because he was in it and went all purple or pink or something for it.

Now I know that my friends list now comprises of a fair few of the cast and crew of that show and so I figure if I ask if anybody has a copy of the DVD that I hear exists fo the performance then I would be interested in borrowing it to watch (or arrange some other way to see it). I've read large chunks of the script (not sure if I ever finished it) and it seemed very funny and now I know probably most of the cast it will be even more interesting.

So anybody able to offer me help or point me in a good direction for help?
