Amecon in brief - day... err... is it really only 2?

Yesterday was actually relatively relaxing. I got a chance to do things like wander around the dealer room, the bring and buy, artist's alley and all that sort of thing. I bought myself a present in the dealer's room and fortunately didn't see a huge amount I like so didn't spend too much.

I watched no anime I think but did go to a really interesting talk by a japanese lady who is one of the guests here on japan and a demonstration of what is involved in a tradional tea ceremony and a bit about kimonos and all that kind of thing. It was really interesting and makes me want to go to japan now... :)

The cosplay masquerade was also yesterday and I took lots of photos. Once again though this only serves to remind me that I really need to sort out a picture hosting solution at some point. Might have to try this old livejournal scrapbook thing though I suspect I might want to put higher res pictures for people if they wanted than that allows. My pictures will appear at some point though... :)

Ops (the operation room) was full of pocky fuelled silliness last night. Lots of silly chatter on the radios and lots of randomness and the creation of many in jokes...

Worst thing ever though... The two vending machines that I found that sold coke have both run out. The canteen type place looked like it was running out too... This is not funny. :(

Oh, yeah, and the charity auction was yesterday too. Compered by a guy called Rob who talks really well, making it to a certain extent stand up comedy with an auction around it. The most worrying thing was the guy who bought four towels at separate auctions for an average of 80 pounds each. EAch of these towels had a scantily clad anime character on it... He hadn't even heard of some of the characters... That just worries me a lot...
