the good: http://biz.yahoo.com/cnw/060131/az_cheyenne_mt_ent.html - MMO Stargate game. Probably not for some time given its only just been announced but that'll be one I dare say I'll be trying.

the bad: The pub we usually go to at lunchtime on Wednesdays has decided that its only going to serve soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and lasagne. I'd be happy because I was going to have lasagne. People have decided not to bother instead though. :( Was looking forward to a nice pub lunch to raise the flagging spirits.

Today's MMO market challenges developers in many ways. Creating a product that separates itself from the pack requires a unique combination of two elements: a superior game concept implemented by a superior development team

You forgot the unique ability of the support team to keep the punters around, while the billing team keep fleecing them, mate.

A decent Stargate game would have rocked. Sadly, I expect this to be another dire MMORPG (of which there are far too many).

That said, it will be interesting to watch the outcome of setting a million monkeys with typewriters to come up with all possible variants of the name 'O'Neill' ;-) ;-)
