WEll, today I woke up and still felt very ill. I came downstairs to find [livejournal.com profile] quisalan tidying so thought I should help. After that wandered into town to pay a cheque into the bank and then off to the garage to ask them to look at the rattle underneath my car. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to but the nice people at inchcape toyota put the car up on the ramp for a bit to take a look and confirmed that a bit of my exhaust was rattling. Luckily it just needs some re-welding so all I need to do is find a garage which can do welding and I can get it fixed. They didn't even charge me any money which I thought was nice. So, any reccomendations on garages?

After I got home (via shops) I had some lunch (nice baguette that was still warm when I picked it up in sainsburys) and watched some scrubs. This evening I had some financial conversations that left me feeling rather stressed. Unfortunately it was a bit late by that time so my thought of going into town is scuppered by the fact that people already seem to have plans. I could just do with a cocktail about now. As it is I'm home alone. I wasn't too enthused by going to Templars with Krys (no offence to those there) and decided on some computer game destress. I played some dynasty warriors hack and slash goodness and now I've got Knights of the old republic 2 loaded up but I'm not sure if I'm in the mood for it or not.

I'm vaguely tempted to go into town and find a quiet pub to read a book in with a pint but I can't think of any pubs that won't be crowded on a saturday night.

Anyway, a lot of waffle there but at least its an entry for today. :)

You seem determined to post every day, but may I just ask... why? Good luck with your pub finding and you not waking up tomorrow still feeling ill!

The FFTMC gets full, but tends not to be rammed on a Saturday, depending on what time you go. It definately wouldn't be empty though. The L&F can be surprisingly quiet, but anywhere you can get a cocktail will probably be full. Oh, that is a point, at the moment, any of the restaurants/bars in the Oxford Castle establishment (except the Living Room) will be quiet because nobody knows about them. There was only two tables in use at the restaurant we were at on Thursday and 5 staff. Anyway, I could probably have been persuaded out for a swift pint.

This is the point where I predictably recommend Drewett's again, isn't it? :)
I considered using them to weld a temporary repair for my Alfa's exhaust, and they seemed willing, but I decided not to bother after it passed its MOT. Might be worth a try, anyway.
