I saw a great resident evil advert for the latest game in a magazine yesterday. Imagine a perfume advert but instead of the model there is a zombie. And instead of the bottle with calvin klein or whatever there is a bottle with "T-Virus" on it. Its awesome. :)

This led me to finding http://www.capcom.com/outbreak/minigame/ which seems to be quite fun though I only played it long enough to get eaten in a hospital. Dunno how much fun it is long term.

And I might have a hosuemate. He phoned this afternoon and I think said he was in the house and that I'd see him tonight. I feel shocked and slightly scared. Its going to be weird having two housemates again. :)

Disgaea is a very cool computer game. Turn based, tile based tactical game with huge amounts of variation, expandability, silly anime characters and a comedy plot. Only trouble is its on the PS2. Must bring forward my plans to do something about this problem of not owning one.

Other stuff happened I expect. I'm too tired to think too hard and have stuff to do. Need to work tonight on contract work.Must remember to take the appropriate file home.

Is that a housemate who is going to recompense you for all the crap you've had to go through?

You have a point.

But, to be honest, I think the money is the important step. Whether he's actually in the house is secondary :)

Don't let him across the doorstep, until the cheque has cleared.

Or you've felt his wad ;-)

It's on holiday, in another country, and suffering from stress.

It won't be communicating for another three months...

Heh.
Well, I hope your response to new housemates is better than mine. In my first year house, housemates had a habit of moving in while I was at uni, and then keeping really quiet while I arrived home and then when I least expected it, do something utterly normal like walk down the stairs just as I was coming out of my room. So, yeah, my housemates first impression of me: YEEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!

I'm mildly surprised that you are not in ownership of a PS2. I had you pegs as one of the Hardcore, you know, those who stand outside the game shop at midnight on the first night of release. Mind you, I'd take a snes over a ps anytime. The original Mario Karts rockth.

Hee.
Okay, okay, you have proven that you are Hardcore Level One. The bongos ensure your manly geekness. Congratulations. ... was aiming to be more humourous but can't, brain broken. x_x

I spent far too long playing Disgaea.

I've also got the so-of sequel Phantom Brave, but I've not played that as much.

That should have said "sort-of" not "so-of".

XD Good job that the first meeting's at G&D's then. I must say, I have yet to try the dime bar flavour!

There are meetings every week, announced at [livejournal.com profile] ou3fs. But bring your friend along if you like? And there are a couple of guys there too, you might get on well with [livejournal.com profile] foulds, who is heavily into Resi and SW, in fact, it was he who got me into those fandoms!

There were about six people last year, but I don't know how many new members we've got now, this first meeting shall tell! Anyways, I'm a stranger. You friended me, didn'tcha? Go on, come, it'll be fun. (I just invited you to the community, btw.)

Well, I look like my icon, but we might make a banner or something. Why don't you suggest it?

A warning - it might be on Sunday now? There's a poll in the community.

I know what you mean about the internet. It's quite scary, I've come to Oxford and suddenly half of my flist are real people O_o

Look quite Buffy-like to me. Maybe it depends who your mind associates.

Dime bar crunch

It is easy to make dime bar crunch yourself. This will save the money (well, unless you eat a lot).

I made a batch last year which worked well. Though my attempt at crunchie ice-cream wasn't quite so good, as they crumbled too far.

You can also buy beer at the supermarket and take it home. But who'd do that, when you can go down the pub?
