right. I need to book some holiday time. I have lots left to use by the end of the year (a little shy of 15 days I think) and I've decided that some time off will be good. The only question then is when? I can't afford to go abroard and I doubt I would even if I could so has anybody got any good suggestions for when I should take time off and what I should do.

My current thought it to take a week off sometime soonish (like a months time, maybe less) and then odd long weekends or other random days off as we get nearer to christmas. I might even get shopping done in timely fashion (ie a week before christmas for most of it) two years running. :)

never forget the option of dropping down to a 4-day week for a month or three...

Colleague of mine did it a while ago, in the same situ., and it seemed to work nicely.

Aye, for August (our leave year runs from September), I took Mondays off, and then the last full week (which was neatly followed by the bank holiday). It's amazing how wierd five day weeks now feel!

Save one for Amecon next summer! A bunch of us are going to go dressed as FMA characters - me, H, Laura, Neil, Abi, Tracey.
