Another bit of life
Jun. 15th, 2005 05:38 pmI might even start updating regularly if you're not careful.
Monday night. Had contemplated going to see my old house and my old (redecorated) room. I got stuck playing computer games instead though. I'd also got a message from angharad that they weren't going to be in anyway so I'm not that bothered about wasting the evening.
The game that has enthralled my is A Bard's Tale whose main character, the bard, is on a mission for coin and cleavage. The main character is witty and sarcastic, the narrator is cynical and sarcastic and the two often get into arguments with each other. There is just the right mix of comedy, plot and violence for my liking. Fights can be very easy once you have a bow and arrow since monsters seem to be happy to stand off screen to be shot without coming anywhere near you. I should thank
quisalan for providing this as a late birthday present since she didn't get me one at the time (even though she had) and I believe
elethiomel for the reccomendation.
Tuesday was the last session of horizon. IC it was the usual apocalyptic buildup to the last session, lots of bad things happened to my character and it was looking increasingly like I was going to have to do some things I wasn't happy about IC and was worried about OOC as well. As some people know I didn't enjoy the session as much as the previous seven but I'm going to refrain from further comment until I've discussed it with the GMs properly. After all, they need to know my thoughts more importantly than you lot. :)
Afterwards was intrusion. I had thought about skipping out and going home but decided in the end (not at all influenced by
taigne making me drool slightly or the cute and gothed
orthomyxo) to go and chill out for a bit rather than wandering home in a stressed state. It was a good choice. I got hugs, I got to talk to people I don't talk to often and all was good.
Today at work was busy and mostly covered in the other article. We're just in deployment at the moment so testing that the thing works and all the new functionality that they've been waiting for is doing what it should. We're pretty much ready to go now though. So I shall get ready to pack up and go home. :)
