[Cam] New officers wanted

Not very interesting to non CamUK people. Just thought I'd put it here since several people on LJ wanted to know the information and although I'm sure they will be hit to one of the three lists I e-mailed I thought I'd put this here for completeness. Sorry about formatting. I can't be bothered to strip out the unnecessary line breaks. :)

Oxford has had both of its domain officers stand down in the last month
so I am asking for candidates for the posts of both DC and DST to
contact me.

The election for these positions will be held at the beginning of the
next oxford game (24th April).

I really need to make sure that candidates, especially for DST, let me
know before the next game since if nobody applies for the post then it
will be oxford's last game (no DST means no game, right?) and something
will be run as appropriate.

Also since our outgoing DST will not be making it to the next game I am
left with a need for somebody to run the game too. If you are interested
get in touch with me. Otherwise I'll be going oldschool and taking up
the mantle of DST again myself (Must see event for one day only!).

Also the next game, even ignoring the elections, will be the one to
determine if oxford is viable to continue as a mage only game. If
insufficient people turn up to the game then it will be declared
inviable and closed down. So please come and show your support for the
game if you want to see it continuing.

So applications to me within the next week (by 21st April). This leaves
me time to know if we are going to have an ST to continue or if the next
game should be planned as oxford's last.

Sorry that this is sounding a little gllum for Oxford but I'm just
telling it like it is. :)

Yeah, I may need to talk to you at some point to find out what is going on mage plotwise if I'm going to run the game. I'm planning on hopefully talking to Jez later to find out what is going on in oxford. Then maybe finding out who my RST is and then ignoring all the plot and running something cool of my own. :)

I'll maybe drop you a line at the weekend or something.

RST will be either Ashley or Gav.

You could talk to both of them. Given that they're both approachable.

Will they actually know about oxford though given its only just joined the south region? Actually running the game is not a problem, its just a question of whether there is plot that I shouldn't ignore and that kind of thing. I don't think there is much regional plot though so hopefully dave will be able to answer all my questions anyway. :)

I am not sure we've ever had the ST and the DC being the same person before. But yeah, not that dissimilar really. I'm actually quite looking forward to getting to run the game. If it does turn out to be the last one would you be interested in helping run the last game? I ask partly because I know you don't really have a character to play - feel free to say no.

I'll chat to you on monday or something if I definitely am going to need your help with stuff. If I get anybody volunteering to be DST I'll be roping them into helping run the game (or doing it in my place by preference).

And I think Verlaine as herald pre-dated me just. Though thinking about it I knew he did it because I believe he is still the owner of the oxford_cam group. :)

*nod* I think Jez had been talking about it and sally had told me that he was going to but I didn't really want to have a second hand resignation based on "Jez said last night that he had decided to resign". Unforatunely Jez has been really busy with work so I've been having difficulty getting in touch with him which is why this only just came out officially.

A bit poo but I can promise that the next game will be interesting. And hopefully short since I have a party that I'm meant to be at that night. :)

I see the problem. If Jez could actually see his way to saying something about it himself, perhaps on a list or similar, that'd be quite nice. I mean, it's not like he'd been in post very long...

I know the reasons behind it all. And he's apparently been doing seven day weeks which is why he's been out of contact to a large extent. If you want to know more than drop me a line privately.
