Incredible!
Dec. 8th, 2004 11:12 pmOne of the most incredible things of tonight is that I actually saw the film. Fate did seem to conspire against me... :)
I managed to lose
antoniosteve who I was exapecting at my house at 6:45 but hadn't turned up by 7:05. Decided I realyl had to leave to get to the cinema before the film started and went and pick up
onebyone which worked well. Then we got stuck in traffic. Stupid oxford united were playing a stupid football match against stupid swansea. The cinema being right next to the stadium this wasn't good.
There was a lot of sitting in traffic went on and then we got to the cinema. At 7:50. For the 7:30 film. Fortunately we managed to formulate a new plan. We had been intending to meet
wimble there at 7:15. We had tried calling him but got no answer so we had no idea if he had got there ahead of us and got tickets for the 7:30 and given up on us or if he was outside stuck in traffic still... So we bought tickets for the 8:30 showing instead and chatted for a while.
We got to see the film which was very cool. Good trailers before it too: Star Wars, the Magic Roundabout and something I'd never heard of called Robots, from the makers of Ice Age. All looked good and made me think I should cinema more often.
When we got out I had a message from
wimble. He seems like he realised what had happened to us and had gone to see the film as planned. Also on the way home I found out that oxford united lost. Ha! Hopefully that will teach them to get in my way when I'm late. :)
Anyway, that'll do. This was really an update for the two people I failed to see tonight when I was expecting to. Hopefully
antoniosteve will assure me that he is still alive and that he has no plans to kill me for abandoning him. :)
