Pub Crawl

Well, tonight is the RPGSoc pub crawl. My prediction is this:

1) After a couple of creally crappy days at work I am going to decide to get pleasantly drunk.
2) I'm goign to go home, get ready and *maybe* hve dinner and maybe just faff around deciding there is no feed I feel like and thus have nothing.
3) I'm going to get to the first pub late and attempt to down a pint of something. Its going to work and go straight to my head and I'll be tipsy by the time we hit pub 2.
4) Another pint in pub 2 is going to go down well but I'm not going to have time to finish it by the time pub 3 is called. I'm going to down it and feel even more tipsy.
5) Pub 3 and pub 4 are interchangeable. One will be much the same as pub 2, the other will see me skipping a drink to let the other ones pass on a bit. End of pub 4 I'll be feeling really quite tipsy.
6) Pub 5 will be another drink and by this time I'll probably be quite drunk and making an arse of myself.
7) Pub 6 will be another drink which will see me on my back. I don't drink often these days so it really won't be hard for me to get that drunk.
8) Get confused a lot, attempt to stagger to wherever other people go. Get lost, get confused, attempt to get home, fall asleep in the parl.

The above might change if I decided to do something silly like going for a short instead of a pint in some of the pubs. After all, volume of liquid is the big problem, right?

Oh, and 7 and 8 will probably be the stages where I will do all the things that I will, in the morning, really wish I hadn't. At the time they will seem like the best plan ever. In the morning I will not want to show my face to the world again.

I should probably try to not drink too much at the pub crawl, for the state of my finances at least. But that sort of planning never comes to anything. I will take more than enough money to get me drinks in all the pubs and buy some for other people when I get the urge. I'll do a lot of things that I already know I shouldn't and it will be like most other pub crawls really.

Anyway, that saves me from having to write about the pub crawl afterwards. I can now just fill in the blanks. :) Well, once somebody has filled them in for me anyway. :)

So that's my tonight (I think). Its a bad plan but its the only one I have. :)

Ah, I wish I was mobile enough to travel up and join in, but circumstances say otherwise. I'm debating travelling up for the Christmas party though, as it seems a pretty good excuse to drop in and say hello to everyone without having to run round all the houses.

Well, it should provide some brief diversion when you tell us all about it tomorrow :)

Shhh, don't let the facts get in the way of you getting drunk. Though if I were you, I'd skip the park plan. It sounds bad, instead get on a train somewhere interesting.

Pints of cider or real ale please. Or whisky. No girlie drinks though. Unless they make your knees go numb.

On the contrary, dear boy...

It sounds like a *fine* plan to me! Generally I add allowances in my plan for falling into cute men's laps - though I'm sure flopping into the reach of cute women in a hapless 'I'm drunk I don't know what I'm doing, honest luv' fashion is not going through your mind in *any* way shape or form. ;)

And so I don't feel left out - drink a couple of shorts for me too, will you? :)

And as I'm actually going to be there, I have the added advantage of being in a position to make sure you do. Yay!

See you tonight.

Hmm... I'm sure presidents weren't always so...

Oh, never mind.

Damn. And there you've gone and tempted [livejournal.com profile] narenek.

And now me. Damn this peer pressure!

Y'know it's kind of terrible when I've got to pick between the inertia of going home and staying put for the evening, or just going down the pub, 'cos it's quicker than going home :(
