The weekend
Oct. 20th, 2003 04:03 pmFriday - garou game. Big stuff happening. I got a little narced when all the other garou abandoned me and A/C in the middle of what was believed to be spiral territory but nothing happened so I didn't whinge too much. Definitely an interesting game and it felt very different to the sort of thing that usually happens in london. I guess because I actually went and prepared for a fight this time rather than trying to avoid one if I could. That and the fact it was a really quite large battle group there. :)
Friday late night - drove back to evil squared and saw people including a
faerierhona that I didn't recognise at first. Played some X-box and chatted before bed.
Saturday - socialising and computer games (mainly xbox). A pleasant time with nice food cooked by rhona. People suggested I ran some exalted in the evening but I couldn't think of any plot off the top of my head and nobody pushed for it (and I don't think there was time) so it didn't happen. Rhona and
zenmeisterin were spending the whole day doing hair things which is mucho impressive now.
Sunday - Late morning and then chilling out and socialising. Computer games which included uplink (which I now have very strong desires to play again) and everything conspired to make me stay in london for most of the day. I'd intended to be in oxford for freshercon but wasn't. I would have liked to go but I enjoyed myself in london so I'm not overly bothered I missed it. :)
Sunday evening - got home, watched tv while catching up on things I needed to do. Had a very late dinner (half midnight) and then went via roundabout routes to bed.
Good weekend all in all. Few quite bad points at times, mainly due to some very bad memories (and associated feeling) coming back at me without much warning. All gone and today has been the best monday in a while. :)

Uplink
Date: 2003-10-20 08:17 am (UTC)I posted a writeup a while back, which I can go find again. I found that a certain amount of sheer bloody-mindedness gave me loads of time to do the hacking, and this just made the game too easy: I'd broken the bank before the plot actually started.
Re: Uplink
Date: 2003-10-20 08:28 am (UTC)You seen the LAN hacking stuff? There was a patch released since I got it that introduced the ability to log onto a LAN and work your way through systems. Not played much with it though since I always seemed to get trashed trying to get into the systems.
(no subject)
Date: 2003-10-20 08:33 am (UTC)I never did get destroyed by plot, because it only took me a week of game time to get to the upper echelons of power, and another two weeks of game time before the plot arrived. So I got bored.
Songbird was unimpressed too.

Oh, I need to log in with the other account. You realise I'm never going to see any of your posts if you do it like that? :)
And whose fault is that?
