Just had a major heart attack which is now thankfully over almost as quick as it came. Mesage from krystyna:

Need some help
Wassup?
Sally's not arrived.

My mind start racing with all the possiblities of what might have happened and ways to track her down. Fortunately the first step was to check her livejournal to confirm her expected departure and arrival times. At this point I found a post by her saying that american airlines had put her in a hotel due to the plane being grounded by fog (or some such).

My god its a while since I've been scared like that. My mind was impressively racing with ideas on how to trace sally's last now position from a different continent but luckily she is safe.

I just thought I'd share that with you since my heart rate is still a little high.

The most annoying thing was the death of work internet connection part way through me talking to krys and thus not being able to confirm that she had read things and was happy. Luckily when the internet came back up I could see the happy sighs of relief that meant krys was satisfied with my leet detective skillz. :)

So that was my excitement for the day. Apart from forgetting to stop for lunch. oops. I know who I blame for that. :)

She's in a hotel, so at least has shelter...

And i'm sure it'll be fine - fear my stalking skills.

Hmmm, we would... but you'd probably be in the wrong time zone.

I always get calls from my friends in Australia at 2 am who seem incapable of understanding that they are 9 hours ahead of us.

Rik managed to call me at 5 am. And had a very sleepy and dazed Sally on the line. And then again five hours later when I wasn´t much better.

It's the old theory raising it's head - everything tends towards chaos. Add to that people running on RPGsoc time, plus the high comedy law that insists one must automatically have a "Clockwise" style drama about meeting people at stations and airports, and you generally fall back on "Well, they'll get here when they get here".... Not terribly useful, but at least you know you're not hte only one.
