10 pin laserquest...
Sep. 5th, 2003 01:20 amWell, tonight's laserquest didn't go exactly as planned. Due to the staff deciding they couldn't be bothered to work (or somesuch) they shut early. So, after much deliberation someboyd came up with the plan of bowling. The nearest decent place being in Newbury...
So, one small roadtrip later There were six of us: Tom and
sexy_sophia on one bike, Stuart (who knew where we were going) on another bike and me, Simon and
florence_90 in Simon's car. I should probably apologise in case I get names wrong and request those reading this who know to fill in the lj usernames that I don't know. :)
We got there and all id the usual protestations of not beign good, not having played in ages, etc. I don't think I've been bowling for about 7 years or somethign so I was expecting to be very rusty. However, I looked almost guilty as my first ball hit a strike. I was starting to worry that I looked like I'd been fleecing people when my second ball hit a strike. Luckily it didn't last though so I didn't look like too much of a show off. :)
It was generally a very good night. I am getting the hang of socialisign with people I don't know very well. Probably helpe by the fact that I wasn't the only one who didn't really know everybody and that they were all very nice people.
The bowling was quite good as well at 8.50 for as long as we wanted (until chucking out time in this case).
Thoroughly good evening though and not really the early-ish night that I was pseudo hoping for. Busy weekend ahead but oh well. Who needs sleep? :)
