I have a bad feeling about this. A very bad feeling.

I've just been sent some concept shots of the design of the website that I need to implement. I've been slightly worried by the fact that there are about four sections that I have never heard of, let alone have made plans for.

This could potentially cause problems. Some of the sections are the same (thank god) but some are not and this scares me. I don't want to see all this work go tits up and it certainly isn't my problem since I have done what I have been told to. I'm just concerned that we might not have time/resources to get what we need done in the next week or two (which is the deadline I was given).

*sigh* Today was going so well too otherwise. :(

if it's any consolation, my job seems to be constantly being a half-hour ahead of deadlines. or just ignoring them completely, or telling the customer that the deadline isn't physically possible and that we need two more days.

our best days are the ones where all catastrophes are averted. it doesn't happen that often.

Hopefully the concept shots just weren't based on the original design and have out of date info.
Presuambly it'll be easy enough to ask someone....

I think what has happened is that I am a temp so they didn't bother telling me any of what was *actually* going on. The fact that I am competent and have thus done a good job of something that isn't right as such seems to have been damaged by the whole not telling me stuff. *grrrr*

As it happens it doesn't *seem* to be the end of the world in that some of what I have done is still required and I seem to have source data for some of the rest and I now have a document (that is nowhere near decent specs for the site) that suggests other stuff is to be provided. Unofrtunately the project manager is on holiday so his assistant is goig to phone him to ask. I'm currently goign to write a document to say what they seem to have asked for, what I have got, what they have promised and what we have to pull out of our *****. With this doc I should be able to at least cover my back so that I won't get the blame if things aren't there.

*sigh* I wish people would tell me what is going on sooner.

*bangs head against wall* I wonder if I have any beer at home... seems like a night to have a drink...
