Well, it would appear I am going to be affected by a tube strike for the first time. Rather bad luck as well it would seem. I've been working for the BBC totally sporadically so the chances of me having to work on a day with a tube strike were slim. In addition to that the palce I had been working previously (in white city) didn't require me to use tubes.

Unfortunataely the website needs to be ready to go live for end of play thursday and I am now working in bush house in Holborn which means needing underground access. :(

Oh well, I might just plead undergrounds as a reason to get in late and just walk here from marble arch. Its a long oxford street and then down a bit and then across a bit. Probably 30-45 minute walk but there may be crowds that could cause it to be longer. Oh well, I'll look into the options when I get home. Anybody able to tell me when the tube strike finishes? I understand it starts tonight at 8PM and was wondering if that meant it was going to go on until 8PM tomorrow?

Anyway, I have a few days work and I think I'm going to be invited to the party at the end of all this and get to party with famous people. There may even be gail porter there (swoon) which would be ace. Just as long as I can stop my tongue from dragging along the floor. :)

I should also add that bush house is a fantatically cool office. Its absolutely massive (its a set of about 6 buildings going up to about 8 floors each with some sub ground floors too). It was built in the early parts of the 20th Century (I almost said this century ) and just makes me feel really cool. And gives me far too many images of men in black with automatic weapons abseiling down the sides or men doing highlander style swordfighting or any number of other things. It just seems to be a very cool building. :)

In addition to that there is some nice eyecandy (attached) that sits just behind me and I am being confident and friendly and talking to people rather than just sitting quietly which is good. The office is generally a bit quiet though. That and the computer I am on is ridiculously temperamental (I could rant for ages about the strangeness of web browsing).

Anyway, I need somebody to come back from presumed meetings so I can confirm I will be at this desk again tomorrow. I might just leave them an e-mail asking them to phone me if I am going to be elsewhere.

On other matters I had a cool weekend. I went to see my parents and their new house and it was a really nice house. In addition it was really nice to see my parents again. I gotto their place at about 4:30 on friday and stopped and chatted and so on, had a nice mum-made dinner and chatted and watched TV and read (I only took one book and read it in four hours). At 10 my parents went to the station to pick up my brother and sister and light chaos ensued. The obvious arguments arose about bedrooms and who got the double bed. I was there first and had bagged the room but hilarity ensued with an almost farcical hiding of bags and replacing with new bags and plain slapstick attempting to claim the room by virtue of being in the bed. Ok, it was funny if you were there. :)

Pub lunch on saturday and then not a lot for the rest of the day apart from more sitting round and stuff. Sunday we went to a cider farm which was quite interesting though hardly a thrilling outing. Might have been better had I liked cider and been able to sample the wares. :) After that we got home, had lunch and then I headed back to oxford to my home there.

Cam in the evening was weird. I decided at the last moment to play stream instead of Martin. Probably for the best in some ways since Martin would probably have got himself in trouble if he had been there. As it was he didn't. The first session in some time thought hat I have played somebody that isn't Martin the entire garou scen exploded. One dead and one stripped to cub for stupid reasons, the alpha stripped of renown and a new alpha taking her place. Probably people who care know what happened already but it was a big night. And Martin feels he now has a large number of people to worry about. :)

Monday was a day off, got some RP stuff sorted (Yay glasswalkers) and got some hugs from caroline who had stayed over before she went off to work in the morning. I really shouldn't have enthusiastically got up at 7:30 though since I then found myself needing to doze from 6PM to about 9PM. Fortunately TFM was a star and woke me up in time to watch coupling. Fantastic stuff. :) Hopefully my series 2 DVD will arrive soon. I wanna watch more coupling and I've not seen all of series 2.

Anyway, time to go home, grab some food of some kind I guess and then collapse into bed. I don't know if I can be bothered with food but since yesterday I had fried egg on toast (four lots) and a cheese and turkey sandwich and today I have just had a chicken and cheese toasted baguette I think I really ought to do dinner.

Also I think I should try to eat since I had some major dizzy spells again earlier. Dunno if that is lack of sugar and sustenance or low blood pressure or just me being generally broken but I should at least make some effort. I wonder if I could do with more exercise but I do do walking and things a reasonable amount (not like five miles a day but I probably get in a mile or two on a lot of days, more than that when I was working at centre house. I think more probably I don't have a varied enough diet so I am disintegrating slowly. I need to find a million dollars so I can make myself cybernetic and give up these worries.

Anyway, home time. Hope you are still enjoying my life. Please visit again soon.
