One sentence, just a few words and they have created a divergence in my life. In just a few weeks my life could be heading down a different path. Different futures, different things, each holding a different me.

It is out of my hands now, with a ponderous inevitability my future rumbles slowly towards me bringing with it the potential for great change, or a stasis in my life. Which will turn out to be better I don't know but my path is nearly set.

I could escape, run from the future and hide and I could avoid all that is coming to me. Nothing would change. I would keep my life as it is. But do I want this life or do I want to change it for another different life, even if it does cost me a lot...

Hmmm.. deliberately cryptic but maybe too long winded. I'm not sure. You must forgive me since I am not used to writing unintelligibly cryptic stuff. I just thought I'd give it a go. Having re-read it though I am worried that their might be too much meaning in it. Maybe I should remove every other sentence or something. Anybody got any tips? :)

Oh, and in case anybody thinks of asking I am not going to be answering any questions on the *actual* meaning of this. I might make some up though if people are really persistent. :)

Hmmm, you've been offered a free sex change?

*shudders* on second thoughts that's a really yucky thought (no offense), so scary in fact that I'll have to share the pain... ; )

Good luck whatever it is

Michael

P.S Will you tell us when it's actually happened or not?

I'd never have known, you did a fine job !

Was this what the company meeting foreshadowed, then ?

All cryptic comments want to be understood

So really, trying to be cryptic in the hope that you won't be is self-defeating. If you really don't want to be understood, you don't talk.

I find that references to odd lines of poetry, random bits of italics, or in fact throwing in an entire paragraph or stanza that has nothing to do with the subject is useful if you want to make it more challenging for the reader. :)
