The Wedding

I have one duty left to arrange for the wedding. I'm not sure its specifically my repsonsibility but I need a volunteer to help me...

Somebody needs to look after Joe's coat for the wedding. I know how upset Joe will be if separated from his coat for any length of time so I want somebody to look after his coat in the ceremony so that he knows it is within easy reach if he needs it.

If I get multiple volunteers I might have other jobs for you on the day... :)

Apparently Joe's coat is a very obvious point that stands out to everybody as a bit weird. :)

When you say "Look after" Joe's Coat two options spring to mind.

One of them involves fabric paint, beer cans, string, tinsel and anything else which one can happen to find on the day.

The other involves preventing anyone with intentions of the first from carrying them out.

Which are you after?

If I say the second one and give somebody the job then its out of my hands if they try for the first... I hadn't actually thought of the first at all though. :) I wonder if joe would be upset if we pimped his coat... :)

I now have an image of the coat having tin cans and so forth tied behind it with string, a la a honeymoon car.

I have a plan in mind. It might require you having tin cans on the day. There is so much that might need planning at the last minute unfortunately. I'm also amused that Joe can in theory read all this. I hope he isn't worrying too much... :)

This was precisely the image I had in mind. Start collecting (clean) empty beer cans, gathering string, sellotape glitterying things. Just need to find some way of attaching a suitably lurid "just married" message to the back without damaging the coat (or it will seek revenge).

It would know that if it happened to "Lose" the ring then the wedding could not proceed. The temptation would be too great a risk.
