NaBloPoMo

Many are doing NaNoWriMo, the thing where you write a novel over the course of november. That sounds like far more work than I am likely to manage so I'm going for the easier option of NaBloPoMo - the National Blog Posting Month. I never really think of this as a Blog (insert long discussion between what exactly a blog is) but it'll do for this.

So I'm going to try posting every day in november. Or if I fail that on average once a day...

So to start with I'll give some thoughts and some of what I intend to blog about at some point...

So today I went to london to buy a new phone. I decided to get a Google G1 phone and wanted one in black. THe oxford shop wasn't goign to do them immediately and after a hard week at work I wanted to shop this weekend so a trip to london. It was complicated but I got one eventually. NOw I'm just waiting for the sim to be registered since their systems are apparently overwhelmed by all the people getting them...

And after a long day I came home and decided since nothing else was going on I'd watch a film I'd recorded on my Sky Plus (in HD no less!). I'd missed Superman Returns first time round and decided when I saw it was on sky movies to record and watch. So I just came to put it on and hit the wrong button and deleted it. No checking if I was sure, no way to undo, I just hit the wrong button and screwed up my evening. It is rather annoying since I'd got myself psyched for it and in the mood and so I'm now really disappointed not to be watching it. I'm going for talladega nights instead.


So, upcoming exciting blog posts that I intend to make include:

1) The hastles I had buying a phone
2) A review of the G1
3) Comparison of the Sky Plus box with the Tivo. Some places it wins, today made me want to throw it through the window...

And probably things about my house, my life and probably some random links and padding. ;-)
