A hard day at work
May. 9th, 2007 02:47 pmToday I already feel I've had enough at work. I've had a awful bug to try to fix that I spent all morning battling against. It was evasive, it was frustrating, it was nonsensical. It was also not technically a bug in our code but in IE6's rendering engine from what I can see [1]. So this morning saw me mostly being very stressed and I still feel it now.
One nice thing about being stressed today though is that a couple of weeks ago I booked myself up to have a massage tonight. So this evening I will be getting all that stress out as I get a nice relaxing massage. In theory I am due to then meet up with some people later in the evening. Right now I'm tempted to cancel and go home and curl up in bed instead. I'm hoping that I'll feel a lot better and more alive after a massage. :)
My apologies if I do end up texting excuses at 9 o'clock though. You'll know why. Hard day and collapsed in a hyperrelaxed state of not moving.
[1] The bug was nonsensical enough that removing a comment block from the HTML caused it to work. Text was just not showing up on screen until you dragged your mouse over it and stuff. In the end it was fixed by removing an empty div tag from elsewhere in the page.
