Pub crawls

I was a bad boy this weekend. I hadn't intended to drink much on Friday since I was going down to London on Saturday with a ten o'clock start so I could play in a game of Amber. It only runs every two months, is really fun and run by a great GM. Unfortunately Friday night was the termly RPGSoc pub crawl and I don't remember why but I decided getting quite drunk was a plan. And then of course when quite drunk getting *really* drunk seems like a good plan.

I am worried that I actually have some memory losses for the evneing which is rare for me. I don't always remember things immediately but usually when somebody says something like "Do you remember playing guitar hero when you got home?" I'll go "Oh yeah. I did pretty well for how drunk I was..." However, I was told about one thing which I honestly don't remember. Now it was dark so she might not have caught what was going on properly so I thought I'd beg my gentle viewers to tell me of anything embarrassing I might have done.

Oh, and I know about the usual [livejournal.com profile] the_whybird thing.

So yeah, [livejournal.com profile] quisalan came to the tail end of the pub crawl whcih was good because it meant I got a lift home. I kind of remember that. I remember chatting to Hussain as well while getting a burger. I think I even remembered correctly what Krys asked me to order for her though she might have just been too polite to say I got it wrong. Or she might have said I was wrong and I forgot.

But on the plus side I didn't get depressed which is always a plus point. I got to chill with lots of good people and get very drunk. I got to call people muppets for failing to find one of the pubs. I got bought drinks by nice people. I bought some nice people drinks. All was good.

So yeah, Saturday I got up on about three occasions to rehydrate before collapsing back into bed. It quickly became apparent that I was going to end up wussing out of going to London which was a real shame. In the end I just sat around the house and caught up on TV. I feel very guilty for not Ambering and should really e-mail various people to find out what went on and what I need to do now.

Sunday was as always the GM meeting. GM meetings don't seem to be getting much shorter any more which is bad. I think where we really need to cut down is on the indiviudal actions. Things were no other characters are involved should be easily dealable by a GM before we get there. There are times when you want feedback from other GMs for whatever reason but I still think we should manage better than we are at the moment. Trouble is the time watching only really kicks in twoards the end when we are thinking we might overrun so I don't really know where we might shave time off earlier. Must try to pay attention next time. :) I do quite enjoy the meetings though. Its fun working out all of what is going on. Just a shame that I then have lots more work between the meeting and the game to do. :)
