Today's the day...
Feb. 14th, 2006 09:31 amWell, it seems that somethings broken. All my valentine's day cards and messages seem yet to turn up. I'm sure its the oxford postal system, people being unable to find my address or my e-mail being unreliable or something. Still, e-mail should be fine now and if not you can always send me your messages of love, lust or just to poke fun at me here on livejournal.
I may send out some of my own at some point if I get time to do something interestingly creative. There are a few people out there though, some of whom know who they are, who could consider themselves to get a virtual bunch of flowers with an appropriate message along the lines of "shame you're (attached/gay/of the opinion that you'd rather date an uruk-hai)" (that covers most people I fancy I think).
That'll do as a stopgap anyway. See you all soon. Oh, and tonight's plans should involve Horizon followed by intrusion for a bit.

Date: 2006-02-14 10:24 am (UTC)Happy St Cyril's Day!
Date: 2006-02-14 10:25 am (UTC)St Cyril was born in Thessalonika, Greece, in 827. Along with his brother, he converted the Slavs to Christianity, partly by his policy of always celebrating Mass in the Slavonic language, a practice which earned him the enmity of the German clergy. He also translated all the liturgical books into Slavonic, inventing and using the alphabet that still bears his name. He died on February 14th, 869.
St Cyril is the patron saint of Europe and of ecumenicism.
Incidentally, as well as the obvious things, St Valentine appears to be the patron saint of epilepsy and plague. You what?
