Drunk at a party

I think, on consideration, that I shouldn't have got that drunk last night. I just logged onto my computer tonight thinking "Well, at least I didn't update LJ while drunk last night. but there's no harm checking..." Oops.

I probably shouldn't have gone in with the intention of getting off my face. I probably shouldn't have drunk wine and vodka (not actually mixed obviously) before I even got there. I almost certainly shouldn't have got drunk to the stage where I was suffering memory loss immediately. In particular this relates to the red wine incident last night. I am willing to believe that I did spill the wine but I have no real idea how it happened. That's the kind of drunk I shouldn't get.

I also woke up this morning with severe dehydration and a headache (both were sorted relatively easily). I need to go into town today at some point. I had a bag with all my stuff in that I left in the mitre. I seem to remember calling them last night and them saying they had it still which is good. It has such things as my glasses and my coat in it. Fortunately I do have a decent pair of backup glasses which I think are pretty much the same prescription so there is no noticeable difference while wearing them.

But yeah, last night was good and bad. I definitely should not go out with the intent of getting paralytically drunk. Its not a good thing.

No, I think you're right. The real art is in getting so drunk that you don't remember what you did - that way you don't have to deal with the shame ;)

I don't think you actually spilled the wine - I think I picked up your glass by mistake, and you jogged my arm as I did so. But it's a little fuzzy for me too. I mostly remember being bloody cold for a while until Briony and Lucie rescued me. ^_^
