"I don't want to go to work today" I muttered from under my duvet as [livejournal.com profile] quisalan knocked on the door to make sure I was awake this morning.

I slept very badly last night I think. I remember waking up at least once (6AM) and have a feeling that I woke up at least once more during the night. As a result I feel pretty tired today. And as is always the case with me with tiredness comes grumpiness. So this morning I am feeling a bit down and a bit morose. I am looking at various things in my life and noticing what are probably, by now, missed opportunities and situations that I hate but that I can't do anything about. Life right now is not looking good.

But as always I know how to handle such feelings. I know that they will be gone in a few days if I get a good amount of sleep and don't let it affect me too much. So, having got the bad out of the way lets go onto the good stuff.

This weekend started on Friday. I think that was when I completed Resident Evil on my Jill Valentine runthrough. Its a brilliant game that has kept me solidly addicted. It reckoned 11.5 hours gameplay at finish. Add to that the various dead ends and its probably 13 hours. And bear in mind I'm now going through as the other character I reckon that this was 3 pounds well spent on a game. And now I just need to get hold of the rest of the series to play them all!

Saturday was up nice and early - having finished resident evil the night before I became strangely tired so crashed out remarkably early. I did some shopping and bought myself some new things including costume for star wars character that might need to be played with. In the afternoon I chilled at home and then Kim'n'andy came around for a bit. I then chilled a bit more talked to krys and kim who turned up having been out for the day and then cadged a lift into town with krys so that I could see people in the pub.

The pub was to celebrate the engagement of kim and andy (I can't be bothered to link but andy is evath.net and kim is sleepyewe.co.uk or something like that - make the rest up from there). They're both good friends who it is strange to think I didn't know at all at the beginning of March except for chatting on IRC from time to time. There were other nice people at the pub too and I seem to have made lots of plans to do stuff next week. That is assuming any of them come to fruition. :)

Sunday was up realtively late having been quite tipsy the night before. Helped krys tidy up the house a bit and then hit the shower. Krys had family descending and was cooking a roast dinner for them (and me). She has a very nice family and cooked a top notch roast dinner. It was most scrumptious indeed. I feel I should say more about the roast because it was very nice and she was rightfully proud but... well... There's not much more that you can say than that it was lovely and polishing the leftovers off cold for dinner was a pretty good indication too. :)

Then I played some more resident evil in the evening and some "shogun: total war". I'd tried to start writing downtime stuff for star wars game but decided I couldn't think of much to write offhand so gave up. Shoudl have probably written amber stuff instead but shogun was fun. :)

And then I watched some "Bakuretsu Tenshi" before heading off to sleep. And this is where we came in.
