You'll have to ask Dwarfy_DrM about it, she see's it every year when she visits her family - from what she's told me it does sound quite funny. I think it just gets repeated far too often each year (several times a day so i've heard...) - it's true though, I think the british are very much unaware of it despite the fact that I believe it is in English.
