I am thinking that this summer I should actually do a proper holiday. In recent years the closest I've come to a real holiday is a trip up to scotland to see friends. And while not a bad thing I feel the urge, now that I have a real job and can afford it, to take some time off and do something properly holidaylike. Thing is I'm not sure really what I want. I feel the urge to go abroad since I've not done that in far too long. I'm thinking probably america (partly because I'm not sure I want to go somewhere I don't speak the language and partly because I've been planning to go there for ages). But my thinking has got no further than that.

So I guess I should ask if anybody has reccomendations for places in america to go or if any of the few americans who may be reading this want me to come visit their neck of the woods.

Oh, and if anybody else is pondering holidays but with no real plans then let me know.

Oh, and I reserve the right to mooch around in the UK instead of doing anything like a real holiday if I choose to. :)
