chrisvenusToday at work was very bad. I wasn't feeling very work like at all today and some work related stuff (to do with christmas party obn friday) came up and made me feel very unhappy. It was all resolved so it is all good but being english I feel guilty for things that weren't my fault at all. This resulted in an afternoon of little productivity and much unproductive clicking on LJ and looking at pretty colours.
I got home and chilled out. A bit of futurama, some simpsons and then pokign the itnerweb. A bit of reading the Star Wars RPG and surfing the net chilled me out nicely and some "look around you" (I discovered that the vidoe of "litte mouse" has a director's commentary). I would have watched some stargate but the tivo was misbehaving so I thought I'd DVD it.

secutatrix was most disturbed by the current facial hair situation. For those who haven't seen it then imagine me when I haven't shaved for a few weeks. Then imagine me shaving some bits of it such that I leave what could be described as a beard and moustache. Now imagine that the beard and moustache are really crap. That's the current facial hair. :)
Helen was most distressed (though I will leave her to repeat her description because I don't think I can do it justice). Most other people thought it was alright though. It has to be said it is growing on me and i am vaguely considering keeping it for a while. Mainly to annoy helen now, of course. :)
The evenign was generally good. There were several moments in which I experienced some very bad moments(tm) but it was generally nice to see people. Especialylsentientfiction who I only see once in a blue moon. Well, more precisely who Is ee at intrusiona nd that's about it. She shoudl give me better contact details so I can see her more often, I reckon.
I also sawirrumator (I think that's the right LJ), liriselei and many others. I can't be bothered to name check them all by journal. Anybody else can feel free to add a cast list of my evenign in comments if they wish though. These are the peopel that it was nice to see because I don't see them often though.
On the wya back from intrusion I stopped off at Hussain's and on south parks road, as I approached the cycle path I saw a bloke who I chatted to most of the wya home. He was from the czech republic and his english wasn't great. He'd been in the country two months though so I was pretty impressed with how well he could speka the language. he understood a fair bit of what I was talking about. I corrected him a few times when he mispronounced things and son on and it was quite a different walk home from what I expected. Jolly good I'd say. I don't even remember his name though. :)
Anyway, that was the evening. A few downs but some good ups so I think on balance i'm on the up. I'm certainly up right now I think...
Time to go and see if I can find the CD of mp3s that a friend wrote me. They include the Katamari Damarcy tunes. A damn fine game with a damn fine soundtrack for those that haven't heard of it.
